Delete your data
You can ask Igeia Health to delete the personal data we hold about you at any time. It costs nothing, and you do not need to give a reason.

How to ask
Use either of these.
- On WhatsApp, send the words DELETE MY DATA to +254 180 711 115.
- Or email referrals@igeia.health with the subject DELETE MY DATA.
Please write from the WhatsApp number or email address you used with us. That is how we find your records and know the request is yours. If you cannot, tell us how you contacted us, and we will check that it is you before we delete anything.
What we delete
We delete your enquiry and case records, your chat transcripts from WhatsApp and the website assistant, the reports and files you sent us, and your contact details.
We also ask the service providers who hold data for us to delete it.
The website keeps only your language, country and guide settings, and it keeps them in your own browser. You can clear them in your browser settings.
What we must keep, and why
The law may require us to keep a small part of your file for a set time, such as accounting records, or records we need to answer a legal claim. If so, we keep only that part, we use it for nothing else, and we delete it when the period ends.
We keep a short note that you asked us to delete your data, with the date, so that we can show we did it and do not contact you again.
A hospital you chose to share your file with keeps its own medical records under the law of its country. We pass your request on to it, and you can also contact it directly.
When we confirm
We confirm on WhatsApp or by email within 30 days that your data has been deleted. We also tell you about anything we had to keep, and why.
Deleting your data closes your case. If you want our help again later, write to us and we will start a new file.
Your WhatsApp chat
Deleting your data at Igeia removes it from our systems. The chat also stays in the WhatsApp app on your phone until you delete it there. WhatsApp is run by Meta, which keeps its own data under its own privacy policy.
